I am a Research Fellow at Centre for Evidence and Social Innovation, aligned to its Mental Health and Wellbeing Programme.

The central concern of my research is how we come to understand our societal roles and what is expected of us at different stages of life, and how this process shapes our identity and our wellbeing. Through this lens, I’ve looked at the mental health of caregivers, at social mobility and at peer influence in adolescence. I’m currently focusing on the workplace, organisational roles and how employers and individuals meet the challenges posed by population ageing.
